Youth Map

Youth Map is an innovative social networking platform that helps students visualize connections between people, resources, and issues in order to address issues and problems in their local communities. Through using Youth Map, young people learn content knowledge, communication strategies, and cognitive skills while becoming active in civic life; for those reasons, the Youth Map tool is integral to Legislative Aide.

Using information gathered through real-life interviews with key members of their community, students use Youth Map to visualize the relationships between community members and important issues affecting their city, issues such as poverty, pollution, or crime rates. By visually linking individuals, local resources, and problems, students think more deeply about issues that affect their community - and how to solve them.
